Kauai Property Tax

Garden Island FCU members who own a home can make managing real property taxes easier by setting up automatic semi-annual real property tax payments to the County of Kauai through Garden Island FCU!

How it works

Opening a Kauai Property Tax Account is simple! Visit any Garden Island FCU branch at any time of the year to get started. Once your account is set up, Garden Island FCU will withdraw the funds at the scheduled dates and make remittance directly to the County of Kauai, Department of Finance, Real Property Tax Division on your behalf. This takes the hassle out of tracking due dates and makes staying current on your real property taxes more convenient.

  • Membership Eligibility: Must be a Garden Island FCU member to participate in the program.

  • Property Location: The property must be located within the County of Kauai.

  • No minimum balance required

Do not participate in this program if your mortgage company is set up to collect and pay your real property taxes. Members are responsible for verifying that proper payment was made by contacting County of Kauai, Department of Finance, Real Property Division, Collections Section on or before March 10 for payment due on February 20 and September 10 for payment due on August 20 at 808.241.4224. Notify the Credit Union in writing within five (5) days thereafter if funds that you deposited into this Account were not properly credited by County of Kauai. All available funds in the account will be remitted for payment when the payment is due regardless if funds are short or over. Members are responsible if funds are short to pay for real property taxes due. Members will not receive any courtesy calls should the funds be short or over. This is a non-interest-bearing account.
